Power of Pink 5K

The Power of Pink 5K returns to Waynesville, North Carolina on Saturday, September 19th, marking its 19th year as a beloved community event. The race takes place at the picturesque Frog Level Park in downtown Waynesville, where participants will navigate through gently rolling hills and well-maintained trails.
Race morning is expected to be pleasant with temperatures around 70°F (21°C) and moderate UV levels of 5.0, making it ideal for running or walking on firm but slightly soft ground. The atmosphere at the start line is always electric as runners and walkers gather in support of a good cause. This year, participants can choose from two timed options: Power of Pink 5K-Timed and Power of Pink 5K-Untimed.
The course layout offers scenic views and challenges with its firm yet slightly soft terrain that might make for an interesting run or walk. The race begins at the Frog Level Park entrance on Main Street, near the historic Haywood County Courthouse, and finishes back there after a loop through the park’s natural beauty. There are no official aid stations but water bottles will be available at key points along the route.
