Experience the thrill of track cycling at Chiba JPF Dome, an international-standard wooden 250m banked velodrome. Whether you're curious about trying out a fixed gear bike or eager to tackle the slopes for the first time, this event welcomes riders of all ages and experience levels.
For beginners who are new to the sport, there's a comprehensive introductory program that covers everything from basic operation to riding techniques on flat ground before moving onto the challenging banked sections. Participants will learn how to stop and maneuver through slalom courses safely, gradually building confidence until they're ready for their first taste of the iconic slope.
Experienced riders looking to refine their skills can take advantage of free practice sessions with opportunities to measure your times across various distances such as 200m FTT, 500m, 1km, and more. These sessions also include practical group riding exercises focusing on techniques like drafting and rotation for safer and more efficient racing.
The highlight event is the track race experience session where you can compete in a real race format to understand the nuances of different cycling disciplines and tactics used during races.
All participants are welcome to join without bringing any equipment as helmets, shoes, and bikes will be provided at an additional cost. This rare opportunity allows cyclists to train on one of Japan’s few wooden tracks designed with professional standards in mind.
