On Saturday, October 10th at Delco Park, the Miami Valley Pet Therapy Association invites you to join them for an unforgettable day of fun and community spirit with PetFest. This special event combines a competitive 5K run and a leisurely Wag Walk, both designed to be enjoyed alongside your furry friends. Registration opens early in September, offering participants who sign up by September 30th the guarantee of receiving their race shirt along with their entry fee of $30 for either the timed 5K or the untimed Wag Walk. Those who register between October 1st and 9th will pay a slightly higher registration cost of $35, while those opting to pick up shirts on race day must cover an additional $40. The event kicks off at 8am with packet pickup until 8:45am, ensuring all participants have their materials in hand before the races begin. At precisely 9am, both events will start simultaneously; 5K runners line up first followed by Wag Walkers right behind them for a unified and spirited beginning. Once the race concludes at approximately 10:20 am, PetFest transforms into an array of engaging activities designed to entertain pet lovers and their companions alike. From K-9 police demonstrations showcasing service dogs in action to costume contests that highlight creativity and flair among pets, there is something for every type of animal enthusiast. Additionally, the festival features obedience and tricks competitions where both humans and their furry friends can show off their training skills. Don't miss out on food vendors offering delicious treats or merchandise booths selling unique pet-oriented items. Children's activities ensure entertainment for all ages while a blessing of the animals ceremony adds a spiritual touch to the day. All participants are encouraged to stay after the races conclude, as prizes and awards will be announced at 10:20 am followed by post-race festivities until 2pm. With no refunds available once registration is completed, it's important for all attendees to review cancellation policies before signing up. This year’s PetFest promises an engaging day filled with camaraderie, competition, and celebration of the bond between humans and their beloved pets. Don't miss this unique opportunity to connect with fellow pet lovers while supporting a great cause at Delco Park on October 10th!

About Kettering
Learn more about the host city, Kettering.
Kettering is a town of 60,749 people in north Northamptonshire. Kettering owes much of its heritage and growth to the arrival of the railway during the mid-1800s. Today the town is again rapidly expanding, this time as a result of the A14, which connects the M1 with several ports on the east coast. Many new housing developments and large industrial estates can be found on the outskirts of the town. Kettering is home of Weetabix's UK breakfast cereal production.
