Lace up your running shoes and come support the PennVet Class of 2028 on April 13th, 2025 at 9AM! All proceeds will go toward the Class of 2028’s End of Core Event, a pivotal celebration that signifies the transition from didactic to clinical learning. Enjoy a 5K (3.1 mile) race through scenic Penn Park with chipped timing and results that will be posted immediately after the race. We will award prizes and trophies to the top 3 overall male & female finishers, along with a commemorative medal upon completion of the race for all participants. Pets are welcome and are encouraged to participate in the Mutt Strut – a one mile walk with your awesome pups! Come and enjoy post-race bagels, pup cups, pet bandanas, photo opportunities, and more! Please register early! To guarantee your free tee shirt, participants must register on or before April 1st, 2025. After April 1, race shirts are available while supplies last. Whether you're a runner, a walker, or just want to cheer us on, we’d love to see you there to support the Class of 2028!

Philadelphia, routinely referred to as Philly, is the birthplace of American democracy. In Independence Hall and in taverns and other locations around the city, the nation's founders planned and launched the American Revolution, which gave birth to the nation. Visitors interested in U.S. history will also discover that it is a city of firsts: the first library (1731), first hospital (1751), first medical school (1765), first national capital (1774), first stock exchange (1790), first zoo (1874), and first business school (1881).
