Chase your dreams along the scenic trails of Xiangshan District, Guilin! The Trailblazer 2026 Xiayue Mountain Cross-Country Race and Longji Rice Terraces Hundred Kilometer Training Run is set to take place on September 5th at 8:00 AM in the parking lot of Xiayue Village. This event features three exciting categories: Wind Chaser (24KM), Cloud Walker (10KM), and Dragon Gazer (5KM). Participants are encouraged to register early, as spots fill up quickly.
The Wind Chaser course spans 23.4 kilometers with a total elevation gain of 549 meters. Runners will have six hours from the start time at 8:00 AM until the race closes at 2:00 PM. The Cloud Walker covers 9.4 kilometers, ascending a cumulative 245 meters over its course, offering participants three and a half hours to complete it before the cutoff at 11:30 AM. For those seeking a shorter adventure, the Dragon Gazer is perfect with a distance of 5KM and an elevation gain of 246 meters; runners have two hours from their start time at 8:00 AM until the race concludes at 10:00 AM.
All three routes begin and end in Xiayue Village's parking lot, providing easy access for participants. The event is also a prelude to the official Longji Rice Terraces Hundred Kilometer Run, offering runners an opportunity to acclimate themselves with the terrain and altitude of Guilin’s Xiayue Mountain before tackling the more challenging hundred-kilometer course in September.
