Paddy's 5K

The Cambridge Girls' Sports Festival Race is an inspiring annual event that benefits and honors young girls involved in sports within the community. The proceeds from this race directly support the Cambridge Girls Softball League and other local girls’ sports teams, which focus on fostering teamwork, athletic development, and holistic well-being among participants.
On September 27, 2026, runners will gather at Danehy Park to participate in a USA Track and Field-sanctioned 5K race. The event is timed by RaceWire, ensuring accurate results for all competitors. Registration and number pick-up are available leading up to the race: Thursday, September 25 from 6pm - 9pm; Friday, September 26 from 4p-7p; Saturday, September 27 from 12p-4p. Late registrants can sign up on race morning between 8am and 9:30am.
Participants who register before July 31 will receive a free gift along with their entry fee of $40 (or $30 for those under 17). For registrations made after this date but by September 26, the cost remains at $45 on race day or $40 in advance. Race-day registration is available from 8am to 9:30am and costs $45 ($35 for ages 17 and under).
The race awards include overall male and female winners as well as top three finishers across various age categories (14 & Under, 15-18, 19-29, etc.). Online registration closes on September 23 at midnight.
Following the race, a lively post-race block party takes place outside Paddy's until 7pm. Walden Street will be closed to traffic for this celebration, which features a large beer garden, food trucks, and live music from a DJ. Parking is available at Danehy Park, providing convenient access to both the event and festivities.
