On May 2, 2026, runners and hikers will converge on Sam A. Baker State Park near Patterson, Missouri, for an unforgettable journey at the Ozark's Mountain Challenge. This unique 21-mile trek is a test of endurance against nature’s raw beauty as participants tackle Mudlick Mountain eight times within twelve hours. The ascent accumulates to a staggering elevation gain of 7,980 feet—an equivalent climb to Washington's Mount Olympus—immersing hikers in the rugged terrain and majestic vistas that define the Ozarks.
Safety is paramount with an efficient shuttle system ensuring runners can focus on their physical and mental challenges without worrying about logistics. The trail-only course has been redesigned for enhanced immersion, allowing participants to fully engage with the natural surroundings while being supported by all-inclusive aid stations along the way.
