Otari Salt Splash Trail 2026 (小谷塩の道トレイル2026 ～Otari Salt Splash!～)

The event takes place on November 1, 2026, offering participants a unique opportunity to explore the scenic landscapes between Koyato Village and Izuōka City. The longer route spans an impressive distance of 80 kilometers with a time limit of 24 hours, while the shorter option covers 40 kilometers in a single day.
Competitors will navigate through the historic "Salt Road," known for its rich cultural heritage and picturesque scenery, making this race not just about endurance but also an adventure into Japan's past. The route includes sections that showcase both challenging ascents and descents, providing runners with varied terrain to test their skills.

Registration fees are as follows:
- For the 80km route, individuals pay ¥25,000 (¥21,000 for high school students), and pairs can register together for ¥48,000.
- The 40km course costs ¥16,000 per individual or ¥30,000 for a pair registration. High/middle school students pay ¥12,000 individually.
- A family package is available at ¥8,000.
