The Österlen Spring Trail (ÖST) takes place on April 18–19, 2026, set within the unique cultural and natural landscape of Christinehofs Ekopark in Skåne. This event is celebrated for its commitment to environmental preservation, with courses passing through 12 different nature reserves and the iconic Stenshuvud National Park. To maintain the integrity of these sensitive areas, the field is strictly limited to 500 participants per distance. Beyond the physical challenge, a portion of the registration proceeds is dedicated to the maintenance of the Backaleden hiking trail, which runs between Alunbruket and Haväng.

Ultra Runner Logistics and Benefits
Participants in the flagship 60 km Ultra category receive several dedicated services to support their journey from Simrishamn back to the castle at Christinehof. This includes bus transport to the starting line, "drop-bag" transport from the start to the Bengtemölla hydration station and then to the finish, and a recovery meal upon completion. Every finisher in the 60 km category is also traditionally awarded an enameled "finisher mug." For all participants, the event hub offers professional medical care, local apple cider from Kiviks Musteri, and hydration support from Umara.
Sustainability and Community Engagement
Österlen Spring Trail emphasizes "genuine and pleasant experiences" over commercial mass-marketing. In a push for sustainability, participants can opt out of receiving a finisher medal during registration; instead, the equivalent cost is donated to the Brösarp village association for trail upkeep. The event also maintains an inclusive atmosphere by offering free registration for Ukrainian runners and significant discounts for students across major distances. Local partners such as Äppelriket and Österlenbryggarna provide locally produced apples and non-alcoholic beer to celebrate at the finish line beside Christinehof Castle.
