The concept revolves around "running to camp," where participants journey from one iconic village to a communal wilderness campsite. Beyond the trails, the event is defined by its social soul, featuring a "Beer Mile," live concerts, and shared meals at the "Rifugio Dahu," all while supporting environmental initiatives through the Two for Trees program.

The event is structured as a two-day adventure starting in the "City of Violets," Tourrettes-sur-Loup, and centering around a Saturday night camp in Gourdon. The 2026 schedule emphasizes a balance between high-intensity racing and relaxation.

Tourrettes-sur-Loup and Gourdon are two of the most beautiful "perched villages" in the Alpes-Maritimes department of southeastern France. Tourrettes-sur-Loup, with about 4,000 residents, is a medieval enclave renowned for its violet cultivation. Gourdon, much smaller with roughly 400 residents, sits on a rocky spur at 760m, earning it the nickname "The Eagle's Nest." Demographically, this area attracts a mix of traditional Provençal families and an international population of artists and outdoor enthusiasts. The region is relatively affluent, with a median household income in the mid-Pays de Grasse sector of approximately €26,500 per year.
