In the heart of Alabama's stunning natural landscape lies an exhilarating challenge for trail runners: The Monte Sano Trail Race. Set to take place at Oak Park Trailhead, this race promises breathtaking views and thrilling terrain as participants climb 1,000 feet up and down the mountain. The course is designed with a lollipop route that winds through nearly 95% singletrack trails, offering both new runners looking for an introduction to trail racing and seasoned athletes seeking a challenging adventure. The undulating path will test endurance while showcasing Monte Sano's lush forests and scenic vistas. For those eager to gear up before the race, packet pickup is scheduled at Swift Recovery from 12 PM to 4 PM on October 25th in Huntsville, AL. This event wouldn't be possible without our generous sponsors: Fleet Feet Huntsville/Madison and Return 2 Sport, who are committed to supporting runners every step of the way. In anticipation for a bigger year ahead, we're thrilled to announce that HOKA will serve as the Race & Training Sponsor in 2026. Runners can look forward to an array of perks including exclusive swag, engaging giveaways, and demo runs throughout the season. Stay tuned—next year promises even more excitement and support for our growing running community. Join us at Oak Park Trailhead this fall for a day filled with adventure and camaraderie on one of Alabama's most scenic trails.
