Join us on September 13, 2026, for the 12th Annual Nun Run, a unique charity race dedicated to raising funds and awareness for theDenver Sisters of Life. This special event features both a scenic 5K run and a half marathon along the picturesque High Line Canal before finishing in de Koevend Park.
The route offers runners stunning views of nature as they traverse through lush greenery alongside the canal, making it an ideal course for those who enjoy running amid tranquil surroundings. For families looking to participate without committing to a longer distance, there is also a 1-mile walk that takes place entirely within de Koevend Park.
The event not only celebrates physical fitness but also promotes values of dignity and respect for all human life at every stage from conception until natural death. The Sisters of Life, known for their commitment to serving and protecting the sacredness of each individual's existence, will be on hand to share their inspiring message with participants and spectators alike.
Race day festivities begin early in de Koevend Park near Shelter B, where runners can pick up registration materials before heading over to Shelters B & C for pre-race activities. The park also offers the unique opportunity to attend a special Mass celebrated by the Sisters of Life at 11 AM, providing participants with an additional spiritual dimension to their day.
Whether you are there to run or walk, this event promises not only a memorable physical challenge but also a chance to connect with like-minded individuals and support important charitable work. Don't miss out on being part of a tradition that has been enriching the community for over a decade!
Registration and bib pickup will take place near Shelter A; after collecting your materials, cross the walking bridge to join in all the race day festivities at Shelters B & C.
