About the Event

The North Sun Ultra 2026 takes place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 7:00 AM MDT, starting and finishing at Emily Murphy Park on Emily Murphy Park Road Northwest in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This 50 km ultra race (plus a 30 km option) runs through Edmonton’s best single track — from Goldbar east side trails to Terwillegar and back to downtown — supporting the Edmonton Mountain Bike Alliance (EMBA).

Event Logistics & Participant Information:

Location: Emily Murphy Park, Edmonton River Valley (heart of downtown).
Course: Explore Edmonton’s incredible network of single track trails — east side Goldbar trails to Terwillegar and back.
Registration Deadline: Closes June 1, 2026 (approximately 25 days before event).
Happy New Year discount period: Dec 31 – Jan 1.
Refund Policy: 50% refund available until May 30, 2026 (email [email protected]). After that, no refunds.
Distance Changes: You can move down in distance until June 7, 2026. Cannot move up in distance.
Transfers: Cannot transfer entry to another runner. No selling of bibs after registration.
Volunteer opportunities: Available via event page.
