The Nocatee Turkey Burn is set to debut on November 29, 2026, offering mountain bikers an unforgettable day of racing and camaraderie. Organized by the passionate Trail Boss Michael Kavanaugh (aka Kav), this grassroots event celebrates local trails with a laid-back atmosphere that caters to riders of all skill levels. Participants can choose between a challenging 3-hour race featuring five laps or a more relaxed 1-hour option covering two laps.
The course, nestled within the scenic Nocatee Preserve Trail Head near Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, showcases diverse terrain and stunning natural scenery. Categories include Men's A, B, Women’s, Masters (55+), Juniors (ages 10-18), Kids (under 14), Singlespeed, and E-Bike riders in the shorter race format.
Race-day registration begins at 7:00 AM with both races kicking off shortly after. The event is a community-driven effort by SORBA Jax to support local trail maintenance and development. Entry fees range from $15 for under-18 competitors, $20 for members, to $25 for non-members.
