To add to the excitement, there’s also a memento waiting for those who complete six out of twelve races throughout the year. For the elite athletes aiming for top honors, the race offers a £100 cash prize to any participant—male or female—who breaks the course record.
The current male record stands at 14 minutes and 59 seconds, set by Sam Gilson on July 13, 2024. The female record is slightly longer at 17 minutes and three seconds. These records serve as a benchmark for runners looking to push their limits within the well-maintained park environment.
