About Vero Beach Karate Association & USKJA College Scholarship Fund:

The Vero Beach Karate Association has been teaching martial arts in Indian River County for 53 years, offering family-oriented karate and self-defense instruction. Our founder, Mr. Willis, decided in the early years of this Association that the martial arts program could be a vehicle for developing people in all areas of their lives, physically, mentally, and socially.

Academic success is very important in our program, and we encourage it in many ways. The pinnacle of our support comes from our scholarship program, which began in 2001 and became a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) under the name United States Karate Jiu Jitsu Scholarship Fund. Each year, Black Belt High School Seniors are awarded money to go towards college. Students who earn their Black Belts with VBKA and are going to college can receive scholarships ranging from $500 to $3,000.

12:00 PM-4:00 PM: Packet Pickup and Registration 

Race Day Schedule:

Saturday, October 11th: South Beach Park (1702 Ocean Dr, Vero Beach, FL 32963)

7:00 AM: Registration & Packet Pickup Opens

7:45 AM: Registration & Packet Pickup Closes 

8:00 AM: Race Start!

Top 3 Overall M & F

Top Masters M & F (40+)

Top 3 M & F in each age group: 

13 & under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+

Award for Fastest Team & Largest Team (top 4 people will be scored for fastest team)

Race Fees: 

Adult $35 through 10/10 ($40 Race Day)

Child $25 through 10/10 ($30 Race Day)
