Niagara Falls Firefighter's Christmas Fund 5K & 10K

On Sunday, September 27, 2026, runners of all abilities are invited to participate in the 13th Annual Niagara Falls Firefighter's Christmas Toy Fund Race. This year’s edition offers both a scenic 5K and a challenging 10K route along the picturesque upper Niagara River, starting at LaSalle Waterfront Park in Niagara Falls, New York.
The race is organized by the dedicated firefighters of the Niagara Falls community to raise funds for underprivileged children. All proceeds will be used to purchase new winter clothes and Christmas toys for local kids during the holiday season, making this event not just a run but also an act of kindness.
Participants can register online until 10:45 AM on race day or opt for paper registration at the venue. Packet pickup is available from 9:30 AM to around 15 minutes before the start time at the Niagara Riverside Resort, formerly known as Four Points by Sheraton Sheridan.
The entry fee remains affordable throughout all phases leading up to race day:
- $25 through July 31, 2026
- $30 from August 1, 2026 to September 1, 2026
- $35 starting September 1, 2026
Early registrants who sign up by September 15 will receive a guaranteed race t-shirt. Any remaining shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Both the 5K and 10K courses offer stunning views of the Niagara River with an out-and-back layout that is officially certified for accuracy. The event includes real-time results updates via electronic timing services from Race Management Solutions using RFID technology, ensuring precise race times.
Post-race celebrations feature complimentary snacks provided by local firefighters along with bottled water at the finish line for all participants. Trophies will be awarded to top male and female runners in each category, while age group medals are given out across various divisions ranging from 14 years old and under through those aged 80 and above.
