New York State Parks PEDAL FOR PARKS

About the Event

In celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the United States, Fort Niagara State Park invites cyclists to join an exciting ride on September 20, 2026. The event offers three different mileage options that cater to various skill levels and interests.
The main attraction is a scenic 100km route starting at 7:00 AM from Fort Niagara, winding through Joseph Davis State Park, Tuscarora State Park, and culminating in Golden Hill State Park before returning to the fort. This exhilarating journey showcases the beauty of Western New York’s natural landscapes along the Niagara River Greenway.
For those seeking a more relaxed ride, there's also a 30-mile route departing at 8:30 AM that takes cyclists through Artpark and Devil's Hole State Park before reaching the historic Whirlpool and Niagara Falls. This loop provides an opportunity to explore charming state parks while enjoying breathtaking views of one of America’s most iconic natural wonders.
Families looking for a fun day out can opt for the 8.5-mile Family Fun Ride, starting at 9:30 AM from Fort Niagara State Park and heading towards Four Mile State Park. This shorter route allows children under ten to ride free with their parents or be towed along in child trailers, providing an accessible way for everyone to enjoy the scenic beauty.
Participants will have access to pit stops offering water stations, snacks, and restroom facilities throughout both longer routes. On-site bike support services by Tom's Pro Bike ensure that any mechanical issues can be addressed promptly before and during the ride.
Registration fees cover a custom event shirt (if registered early), post-race party with light food, live music from The Soul Committee, one free adult beverage or soda for those 21 years old and over, as well as on-course support. Early packet pickup is available at Fort Niagara State Park on Wednesday, September 16th between 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The ride concludes with a festive post-race celebration starting from 11 AM featuring live music and complimentary drinks for all participants who cross the finish line. Riders are encouraged to stay for refreshments and camaraderie as they reflect on their journey along these historic paths.
Join us in commemorating this significant anniversary while supporting local park programming through your participation in what promises to be a memorable day of cycling, community spirit, and appreciation for nature’s grandeur.
