NEARly There 5k

The NEARly There 5k returns to Crystal, Minnesota on July 25th, 2026 at Bassett Creek Park. This five-kilometer race offers both participants and spectators a chance to support the North-Suburban Emergency Assistance Response (NEAR) Food Shelf while enjoying the vibrant setting of Crystal.
The park is located just off Main Street in downtown Crystal. As runners or walkers line up for their start, they will be greeted by the familiar sight of Bassett Creek flowing nearby. The atmosphere on race morning is serene; the park’s lush greenery and open spaces provide a natural backdrop to this community event. Participants can expect the temperature around 23 degrees Celsius with moderate humidity levels, making it comfortable but warm.
The NEARly There 5k has been running for several years now, raising both funds and awareness for its cause each July.
