RegisterHere is a race day that has an event for all multisport lovers! Nat Greene's Revenge offers an on-road triathlon and duathlon and an off-road triathlon! All race options will accumulate points towards the Trivium Multisport Series.
If you have not had the chance to race with us at Lake Brandt Marina, this is an amazing race venue. Check out the different race descriptions below for more details.
At Nat Greene's Revenge, we have 3 events you can sign up for:
Off Road Triathlon: This is a sprint triathlon include 800 meters of swimming, then mountain biking the trails (not beginner friendly) around Lake Brandt for 14.5 miles, and finishing with a tough 5K running on the Nat Greene Trail. Lake Brandt is usually extremely calm water and a great open water swim. The afternoon swim will allow for easy sighting. Athletes will bike on Greensboro's iconic Wild Turkey and Owls Roost trails and then finish by running on Nat Greene's Trail!
*if trails are closed on race day due to wet conditions, racers will have option to switch to road race or off-road aquathon
On Road Triathlon: A sprint triathlon includes, 800 meter of swimming, 12.5 miles of cycling on the rolling hills outside of Lake Brandt Marina, and finishing with 3.25 miles of road running in the adjoining neighborhood. Water temps race morning should be wetsuit legal, but not freezing cold.
On Road Duathlon: Duathletes will run 2 miles in the neighborhood adjacent to the marina, jump on their bikes for 12.5 road miles of cycling on the same bike course as our triathletes, and then they will run 3.25 miles on the road to finish the race!

These values represent the 3-year monthly averages for October in Greensboro.
Greensboro is a city of almost 300,000 people (2020) in North Carolina. It is named after Nathanael Greene, a Patriot general who fought a battle here during the Revolutionary War. It's nicknamed the "Gate City" for its historical role as a transportation hub for the Piedmont. The famous author William Sydney Porter, better known as O. Henry, was born here. It can be sleepy and genteel but is enjoying a newfound reputation as a great place for young people. Downtown especially is experiencing a surfeit of bars, music venues and restaurants. Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point are the three cities that make up the Piedmont Triad, halfway between Raleigh and Charlotte.
