This virtual challenge allows you to experience the legendary Jánošík Xtreme Triathlon from anywhere in the world, offering a flexible and personalized adventure that matches your fitness level. Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast tackling steep climbs and challenging terrain or someone looking for a more relaxed approach through indoor training sessions, this event invites all levels of athletes. The event offers four distinct distance options: Shadow Xtreme (3.8km swim | 182km bike | 42.2km run), Shadow .8 (3km swim | 146km bike | 34km run), Shadow .6 (2.3km swim | 109km bike | 25km run), and Shadow Lite (1.5km swim | 73km bike | 17km run). Each option includes significant elevation gains, reflecting the raw mountain racing experience that makes Jánošík XTRI famous. Participants have from September 5th to September 6th to complete their chosen distance within a 24-hour window. Once finished, results must be submitted on RaceID by CEST midnight on September 7th. Proof of completion can come in the form of GPS tracking data or photos/video uploaded through Digital Dojo. In addition to personal achievement, there are exciting prizes up for grabs: two complimentary entries into the Jánošík XTRI event in 2027 (one male and one female). These will be awarded randomly among finishers. Additionally, completing your race earns you points towards a global ranking system with varying point values based on distance. Beyond the competition aspect, the Jánošík Shadow Edition encourages creativity through bonus challenges like designing an ideal course or capturing Slovakian-inspired photos to share online.
