About the Event

Please come out and join us for the 4th Annual Mulberry Stampede 5K at Mulberry Elementary School in North Wilkesboro, NC on May 2, 2026. This fourth running will feature race|result chip timing and live results through the course of the race. The race starts at 9:00am. You'll be glad you did.

Please note that race day registration and pickup is planned for 7:30am to 8:30am on race day. Please plan accordingly to arrive on time to ensure an on-time start for all of the other participants!

The Mulberry Fire Department and the NC Highway Patrol will be closing down the right lane of HWY 18 all the way to Mulberry Fire Department with cones, trucks, and patrol cars for runners. Finish Line Pros will be keeping time for runners. Pelicans will be handing out free snowballs to the kids, and adults can purchase a coffee or drink from our good friends at Fireside Espresso. This will be a great time to spend time with family and friends.

Students aged 12 and under will receive a $10 discount from the standard entry fee at the time of registration!

Please note that shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for registrations after April 2nd. When we place our shirt order on April 2nd we will do our best to estimate our needs after that date. If you are registering for the race after April 3rd, please understand if we do not have your first choice available for you when you pick up on race day!

About North Wilkesboro

North Wilkesboro is a town in Wilkes County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 4,131 at the 2020 US Census. North Wilkesboro is the birthplace and original home of Lowe's Home Improvement, which continues to have a major presence in the community. The town is also known as one of the birthplaces of the sport of stock-car racing, and the North Wilkesboro Speedway was the first NASCAR-sanctioned track. Due to the town's proximity to the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains and its numerous tourist venues, North Wilkesboro has been nicknamed the "Key to the Blue Ridge".
