MTC LEJOG 2028

The John O’Groats to Lands End race is one of the most iconic long-distance running challenges in the United Kingdom. Spanning over 842 miles, this grueling route connects two extreme points of Britain: from John O'Groats on Scotland's northernmost tip down to Land’s End at Cornwall's southwestern edge.
Runners will traverse a diverse landscape that includes rugged coastlines, rolling hills, bustling cities, quaint villages, and serene countryside. The journey begins in the windswept highlands of Caithness with views stretching across the North Sea towards Orkney. As runners progress southward, they encounter challenging terrains like the Cheviot Hills on the Scottish-English border.
The race continues through England's historic cities such as York and Durham before entering into Yorkshire’s dales where verdant valleys offer a stark contrast to earlier stretches of rocky terrain. Moving further south, runners will pass through vibrant towns like Liverpool, Manchester, and Birmingham, each with its unique charm and history.
As the route nears its conclusion in the southwest, it features some of England's most picturesque landscapes including Dartmoor National Park’s moors and woodlands before finally reaching the dramatic cliffs at Land’s End. The finish line marks not just an end to a physical journey but also celebrates Britain’s rich tapestry of natural beauty and cultural heritage.
This event is designed for experienced runners looking to test their limits while immersing themselves in a remarkable array of British scenery and landmarks along the way. Each mile offers new challenges, from navigating steep ascents to enjoying leisurely stretches through lush greenery, making it an unforgettable adventure for participants.
