Mt Glorious Mountain Trails

The annual Mt Glorious Mountain Trails race invites participants on November 8th through the captivating landscapes of Queensland’s Mount Glorious region. Starting at Cedar Flats, runners will navigate Northbrook Mountain's rugged paths and dense forested areas before ascending to the summit in a pristine rainforest setting.
This challenging yet rewarding course spans 22 kilometers with an impressive elevation gain of 1200 meters and descent of 650 meters. The trail offers diverse terrain including rocky paths, steep ascents, and lush valleys, providing an engaging physical test for all competitors. Each year, the event draws participants from local communities and beyond to experience this unique blend of natural beauty and athletic challenge.
Runners will begin their journey at Cedar Flats before tackling Northbrook Mountain’s steep inclines and descending into England Creek's verdant forest. The final stretch leads through a scenic clearing opposite Maiala picnic area, where celebratory finishes await in stunning surroundings.
Weather conditions on race day are typically mild with an average temperature of 21.4°C and humidity levels around 76%. Wind speeds will generally range from calm to brisk at about 9.3 km/h, creating a cool but manageable environment for the trail running adventure.
Mt Glorious Mountain Trails is open to both seasoned runners and newcomers alike.
