About the Event

The 5K Run/Walk will be held Saturday, July 4th at 8:00AM.

The Mr. T Memorial Scholarship was established in 2019 upon the passing of Mr. Charlie Toumazous, Science and Math teacher at BCHS. Scholarship recipients exhibit good attendance, work ethic, a strong academic record, and have the desire to further their education at either a 4-year college or vocational/trade school. Funds generated through this race are used to replenish the scholarship fund.

Gassaway was incorporated in 1905 and named for Henry Gassaway Davis, the Democratic Party's nominee for Vice President of the United States in 1904. The center of population of West Virginia is located approximately 7 miles (11 km) north of Gassaway.
