Mountaineer Rumble 12 Hour

Welcome to the Mountaineer Rumble 12 Hour Run, an unforgettable endurance challenge set within the serene beauty of Kings Mountain State Park in Clover, South Carolina. This unique race takes place on Saturday, September 13, and concludes early Sunday morning at 8 AM, offering runners a full night under the moonlit sky.
Participants will traverse a picturesque 4.5-mile loop that winds through some of the park’s most scenic trails, including sections of the National Recreation Trail (Blue Blaze), CCC Multi-Use Trail (Orange Blaze), Living History Farm Trails, and Historic Farm Trail (Yellow Blaze). Each lap provides runners with stunning views of Lake Crawford and its dam, serene creeks meandering through lush greenery, and a glimpse into the park’s living history as horses, cattle, and donkeys graze nearby.
The course is designed to cater to all levels of endurance enthusiasts, allowing participants to run multiple laps over 12 hours. A well-equipped aid station and drop bag area are strategically placed along the route, ensuring runners have easy access to water, Gatorade, Tailwind, Skratch, and other essentials without leaving the course.
Organizers aim to keep costs as low as possible for this community-focused event while covering necessary expenses such as insurance and admission fees. Runners will be responsible for their own food, gels, and additional supplies throughout the race duration.
