Mo's Journey returns to Stayner, Ontario on Saturday, June 6th, celebrating Morris’s zest for life while raising funds for brain cancer research.
The event kicks off from the Collingwood Regional Airport, a scenic starting point surrounded by lush greenery and picturesque views. On race morning, expect the air to be crisp as temperatures hover around the mid-20s Celsius. The atmosphere will be charged with community spirit, as participants gather to support Morris's legacy.
Since its inception in 2024, Mo's Journey has grown significantly, drawing hundreds of cyclists and families from across Ontario. This year’s event aims to continue this tradition by honoring Morris’s memory through a day filled with cycling routes that cater to all skill levels—35KM (30K), 65KM (65K), and the challenging 100KM ride. The cause of raising funds for Sunnybrook's Odette Cancer Program is deeply personal, as it supports cutting-edge clinical trials led by Dr. Arjun Sahgal that are paving new paths in brain cancer treatment.
The course venue offers a variety of terrains, including firm yet slightly soft roads that ensure a safe and enjoyable ride. The 100KM route will take participants through diverse landscapes, while the shorter distances allow for a more leisurely experience without compromising on the challenge. Notably, there are rest stops along each route where cyclists can grab food and water to keep going strong.
Start times have been carefully planned: the long-distance ride departs at 9 AM; the medium distance follows half an hour later; and the shorter route sets off a further quarter-hour after that. Throughout these rides, participants will encounter minimal elevation changes, making it suitable for riders of all abilities.
The weather on race day is expected to be warm with UV index levels peaking around Very High, so sunscreen and light clothing are recommended. Expect temperatures in the mid-20s Celsius, which can feel quite warm by noon when the sun's rays intensify.

Bib pickup will be held on Friday, June 5th from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Stayner Community Centre. Bring your photo ID and any other necessary documents for verification purposes.
The start location is the Collingwood Regional Airport in Stayner, Ontario. For those under 18 or first-timers, ensure you bring all required identification. This event welcomes families; children are welcome to ride on a separate designated route with their parents' supervision.
