Monster Dash 5K and 1 Mile Walk

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the vibrant town of Southern Berkshire will come alive for the Monster Dash, sponsored by Fairview Hospital and the Southern Berkshire Rural Health Network. This family-friendly race benefits Berkshire Bounty, a local food pantry dedicated to supporting those in need.
The event offers two distances: a spirited one-mile run/walk starting at 9:15 AM followed by a more challenging 5K that takes off just fifteen minutes later at 9:30 AM. Participants can enjoy the crisp autumn air and scenic views as they navigate through winding paths and charming neighborhoods, all while contributing to an important cause.
Registration fees vary depending on when you sign up:
- $30 if registered before October 1
- $35 from October 2 until October 23
- $40 on race day
For the one-mile walk, admission is just $10 for adults. To encourage community involvement and support Berkshire Bounty, students can participate in the mile walk free of charge by bringing a food donation.
The Monster Dash encourages creativity with its highly recommended costume theme. Whether you choose to dress up as your favorite superhero or embrace the spooky spirit of Halloween, there's no shortage of opportunities to showcase your personality while running for a good cause.
After crossing the finish line, runners and walkers are invited to stick around for some post-race refreshments including hot coffee, apple cider, and delicious cider donuts.
