All‑you‑can‑eat Koshihikari rice. An original rice bowl. Gourmet tickets. That’s the finish line at the Minami Uonuma Gourmet Marathon. Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Hachiiro no Mori Park (Yairo no Mori Park) in Urasa, Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture. Choose half marathon, 1/8 marathon (5.274 km), or a parent‑child run (approx. 1.2 km). Rain or shine.

Half Marathon
9:00 AM start • 3 hour time limit • 2,700 capacity • Checkpoints at 9 km (1h30m) and 17 km (2h30m)
Age categories: Men (HS–49, 50+), Women (HS–49, 50+)

1/8 Marathon (5.274 km)
9:15 AM start • 50 minute time limit • 1,300 capacity • Men/Women high school age+

Parent‑Child Run (approx. 1.2 km)
30 minute time limit • Pair (1 parent + 1 child) or group of three (1 parent + 2 children) • Elementary school children only

Gourmet Village tickets (redeemable at food stalls)

Awards:

Top 6 in each category receive a traditional masu (wooden sake cup) and supplementary prizes

Schedule (Sunday, June 14, 2026):

7:00 AM — Venue opens
8:00 AM — Opening ceremony
9:00 AM — Half marathon start
9:15 AM — 1/8 marathon start
9:30 AM — Gourmet Village opens
~11:15 AM — Talk show and live events (Fukuda Rikka & HARVEST CAMP)
2:30 PM — Event ends

Logistics:

No race‑day registration. Bibs, chips, and race numbers are mailed in advance. Reissuance fee: 1,000 yen if forgotten/lost.
Timing: Runner’s chip (net time). Results only online (downloadable certificate, no paper copy).
Baggage storage: 7:00 AM – 1:30 PM (no valuables). Changing rooms available.
Parking: First 1,000 cars. Parking cooperation fee: 1,000 yen per car. Organizers assign parking spots.
Traffic restrictions from early morning. Runners must follow police and staff instructions.
No advertised logos or brand wear without permission. No costumes that might endanger or disturb others.
Emergency vehicle passage may require runners to stop.
If temperature reaches 31°C (88°F) on race day, the event may be stopped mid‑race.
No bib resale or proxy running (disqualification and future entry ban).
No pegs or stakes driven into grass at the venue.

Health & Cancellation:

Runners with fever of 37.5°C (99.5°F) or higher on race day must not participate. No refund.
Race may be cancelled or switched to virtual format due to COVID‑19 guidelines or extreme weather (storms, heavy snow, typhoon, etc.). Refund policy depends on costs already incurred — organizers will consider options case by case.
