Millstone Creek Apple Cider 5k/10k

On Saturday, November 7th, runners and fitness enthusiasts are invited to the picturesque setting of Millstone Creek Orchard for the annual Apple Cider 5k/10k race. The event kicks off at 9:00 AM with the 10k run followed by a 5k starting at 9:15 AM. Both races wind through the stunning autumn foliage that blankets Millstone Creek Orchards, offering participants an unforgettable experience of vibrant fall colors and crisp air.
The 5k route takes runners on a scenic tour around the orchard grounds, showcasing its beauty in full bloom during this time of year. Meanwhile, the 10k course extends beyond the orchard’s borders to include portions through downtown Ramseur, where local merchants line the streets to cheer and support participants.
For those unable to attend in person, a virtual race option is available for both the 5k and 10k distances. Participants can map out their own route at home or elsewhere and submit their results by November 1st. The top three male and female overall winners will receive prizes from sponsor DICK’S Sporting Goods.
Race day registration opens early, allowing participants to sign up starting at 7:30 AM until the deadline of 8:30 AM, ensuring a smooth start for all races on time. Awards are presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods for both individual and age group winners in various categories, celebrating runners across different skill levels.
Beyond just racing, attendees can enjoy a family-friendly day at Millstone Creek Orchard, complete with the opportunity to indulge in delicious apple cider treats from the orchard itself. All participants will receive coupons redeemable for an Apple Cider Smoothie post-race, perfect for refueling after their run.
