Midweek Aquathlon

The Bridge Aquathlon offers athletes a unique blend of endurance and agility with its two-stage course featuring open water swimming followed by an invigorating run. Set against the serene backdrop of South Lake, this aquathlon challenges participants to dive into 650 meters of refreshing lake waters before transitioning onto terra firma for a three-lap, 5.7-kilometer loop around the picturesque lakes.
Scheduled as part of your midweek training regimen, The Bridge Aquathlon provides an accessible and manageable distance that fits seamlessly into any athlete's routine. With its limited capacity of just 40 participants to ensure optimal water safety conditions, this event guarantees a personal touch and individual attention throughout the race day experience.
The fifth edition of the series is set for September 9th, adding another opportunity for athletes who missed previous dates on May 13th, June 10th, July 8th, and August 12th. Registration begins at 6:30 PM sharp, followed by a prompt start time of 7:30 PM.
To ensure safety during the swim segment, participants are required to have prior experience with open water swimming and must wear bright-colored caps for visibility. In case you encounter any difficulties in the lake, simply roll onto your back and raise one arm; help will promptly be on its way.
Exiting the waters can be slippery due to wet ground conditions, so extra caution is advised as athletes transition from swim gear into running shoes. The Beacon Pub offers complimentary parking within a short walking distance of both registration and start lines – a convenient spot for runners to relax with refreshments before the race or post-race celebrations.
