Micah's Mini Marathon

Micah’s Mini Marathon is a community-focused event designed for inclusivity, inviting walkers, rollers, and runners to Frenchman's Bar Regional Park on Sunday, May 17, 2026. This unique "mini" marathon covers a distance of 2.62 miles—exactly one-tenth of a standard marathon—along the scenic banks of the Columbia River. The event emphasizes accessibility and fun, providing a flat and manageable course for participants of all physical abilities while fostering a supportive environment at the Riverview Picnic Shelter.

The event serves as more than just a race, offering a full morning of activity with on-site refreshments and community engagement. Participants at the park will navigate a double-wide paved trail, ensuring enough space for mobility devices and group walking. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual participation option allows individuals to complete the distance from any location of their choice.

Logistics and Participant Information:

• -- Course Design: The route is exceptionally flat and follows an out-and-back format. To accommodate different fitness levels, participants are welcome to turn around at any point to shorten their total distance.
• -- Race Gear: Registered participants receive a Micah’s Miles swag bag and a pair of event-themed socks. Pick-up for these items begins at 8:00 AM on race morning at the picnic shelter.
• -- Facility Access: Accessible bathroom facilities are located approximately 200 yards from the start and finish line area.
• -- Site Parking: Frenchman’s Bar Regional Park requires a parking fee; participants are encouraged to bring exact change to facilitate quick entry into the lot near the shelter.
• -- Amenities: The event precinct will provide coffee, water, and snacks to keep participants fueled before and after their mile markers.
• -- Merchandise: In addition to the race gear included with entry, supplemental Micah’s Miles apparel and items will be available for purchase at the venue.
