Mendoza is a key province in Western Argentina with a population of approximately 2 million residents. The region's demographic is largely of European descent, primarily Spanish and Italian, which heavily influences the local architecture and gastronomy. Mendoza is the heart of Argentina's wine industry, producing nearly two-thirds of the country's wine, with a specific global reputation for Malbec. The city itself is characterized by its unique irrigation system (acequias) and lush urban forests, designed to create an oasis in an otherwise arid climate. With a median household income that ranks among the highest in the country, the province is a hub for both agricultural exports and mountain-based tourism.
Participants for the 2026 edition should note that Kit Collection takes place at the Nave Cultural on May 1st and 2nd; there is no kit delivery on race day. A mandatory medical certificate must be uploaded to the runner's digital account or presented during accreditation. The official kit features a vibrant red ASICS technical T-shirt, inspired by Mendoza's autumn foliage. Optional services, such as the "Official Bus" to the starting lines and the "MIM Wine & Dinner" celebration, can be added during registration. While the 42K, 21K, and 10K races start early to take advantage of the cool mountain air, all distances culminate in a shared finish line experience at the park gates, accompanied by medical support and hydration stations every few kilometers.
