MEDOC ATLANTIQUE FRENCHMAN Triathlon Carcans 2027

Set along the picturesque coast of Carcans, France, the Medoc Atlantique Frenchman Triathlon promises an exhilarating day for triathletes from around the world. Scheduled to take place on May 5, 2027, this event combines a challenging swim in the Atlantic Ocean with a scenic bike ride through coastal villages and a run along the sandy shores.
Participants will start their journey with a refreshing 1.9-kilometer ocean swim off the coast of Carcans-Village. The water temperature is typically mild for early spring conditions, providing an invigorating yet manageable challenge to kickstart the day's adventure.
Following the swim transition, athletes embark on a rolling bike course that stretches over 86 kilometers through lush green landscapes and charming seaside towns. This leg features several climbs up to picturesque viewpoints, offering breathtaking glimpses of the coastline and surrounding vineyards typical of the Medoc region. Cyclists will enjoy smooth roads with minimal traffic as they navigate this scenic route.
The final segment is a half-marathon run covering 21 kilometers along the sandy beaches and boardwalks that hug the coast. The soft sand presents an additional challenge, testing runners' endurance on varied terrain while allowing them to soak in panoramic ocean views throughout their journey back toward the finish line at Carcans-Village.
Competitors can opt for cancellation insurance during registration, which covers unforeseen circumstances such as illness or injury that might prevent participation. However, without this coverage purchased beforehand, there are no refunds available if participants need to withdraw from the event due to these reasons and cannot transfer their entry to a future edition.
