RegisterJoin Us for A Star Wars-Themed Charity Run!
Celebrate May the Fourth a little early—on Saturday, May 2, 2026—with our exciting charity race, part of the 2026 Fleet Feet Race Series! The event kicks off and wraps up at Lawndale Baptist Church, where you’ll find:
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just starting out, remember:
The Force will be with you. Always.
Costumes Encouraged!
Come dressed as your favorite character—there will be Best Costume prizes, selected by our event staff judges. And of course, top finishers will receive awesome race prizes too!
Run for a Cause
As you Storm the Course, you’ll also Be the Force for Mental Health Awareness!
All proceeds from the May the Course Race benefit Restoration Place Counseling (RPC)—a local nonprofit offering affordable, professional Christian counseling to girls and women in the Triad and beyond.
Why it matters:
High cost is both a nationally and locally documented reason why people do not seek mental health care. RPC exists to remove this obstacle for those in need.
In a time when professional mental health care is needed more than ever, your participation helps make a real difference. Thank you for your support!

Greensboro is a city of almost 300,000 people (2020) in North Carolina. It is named after Nathanael Greene, a Patriot general who fought a battle here during the Revolutionary War. It's nicknamed the "Gate City" for its historical role as a transportation hub for the Piedmont. The famous author William Sydney Porter, better known as O. Henry, was born here. It can be sleepy and genteel but is enjoying a newfound reputation as a great place for young people. Downtown especially is experiencing a surfeit of bars, music venues and restaurants. Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point are the three cities that make up the Piedmont Triad, halfway between Raleigh and Charlotte.
