Mareuil Run Day

Mareuil Run, the rebranded and revitalized edition of La Déjantée de Mareuil, invites runners to experience two distinct races on September 6th in the charming town of Mareuil-Lès-Meaux. The day promises a vibrant atmosphere with enthusiastic volunteers and an energetic event host at both start and finish lines.
The Mareuil Trail kicks off at 9:00 AM, offering participants a challenging yet rewarding course that spans approximately 19 kilometers through varied terrain. Expect to navigate rolling hills and lush forests, as well as open fields where conditions may become muddy depending on the weather. This route is designed for trail enthusiasts who appreciate scenic landscapes and demanding trails. A robust mid-race refreshment station provides both water and solid food options.
For those seeking a more relaxed pace or those drawn by picturesque settings, the Mareuil Race begins at 10:00 AM with an easier course of about 8 kilometers along flat terrain. The route follows charming paths alongside the canal and riverbanks, offering stunning views of nature and peaceful countryside scenery. A water station is available halfway through for hydration.
Both events encourage runners to add a touch of fun by dressing up in creative costumes, enhancing the festive spirit that permeates throughout the day. Participants can collect their race numbers on Saturday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Mareuil-Lès-Meaux's Forum des Associations or opt for same-day registration starting one hour before each event.
Amenities include ample parking, secure storage facilities, and public restrooms located conveniently near the Maison des Associations. The race start and finish areas are situated close by as well. Refreshments await runners at various points along both courses to ensure participants stay hydrated and energized throughout their journey.
Upon crossing the finish line, all racers will receive a commemorative gift while top male and female competitors in each event will be awarded special prizes for their outstanding performance. It's important to note that dogs are not permitted on race day but can join runners during other times at Mareuil-Lès-Meaux.
