The CIRCUITO DE MARATONAS MAJORS DO INTERIOR, or the Major Marathon Circuit of Interior Brazil, is an elite series featuring four marathons across São Paulo: Sorocaba Novembro Azul, International Maratona de Campinas, Piracicaba International Marathon, and Praia Grande Marathon. The circuit challenges runners to complete at least three legs in 2026 to be eligible for the trophy. Each marathon offers a unique blend of urban and coastal settings, with scenic routes through historic city centers and along picturesque beaches. In Sorocaba on November 21-22, 2026, participants will experience the vibrant atmosphere of this interior Brazilian city during its famous blue month event. The course winds past colonial architecture and bustling streets filled with cheering spectators. Runners can also choose to tackle either a full marathon or half-marathon distance. This circuit aims to elevate standards in race organization across São Paulo's interior regions, ensuring high-quality events that are safe, accessible, and welcoming for all competitors. As the series continues to grow, it plans to introduce standardized 30km races starting from 2027, offering more options for runners of various abilities. The event emphasizes fair play and a friendly competitive spirit among participants while providing an enriching experience in one of Brazil's most dynamic states.
