Far beyond a sporting competition, the Wine Marathon is an event that crowns the grape harvest season, the main product for winemaking.
In Bento Gonçalves in the Vale dos Vinhedos, Monte Belo do Sul with the wines of Monte Belo, and Garibaldi on the Estrada do Sabor, in the Serra Gaúcha, will be the stage for the grand event. The grape harvest takes place in February. Fueled by the feeling of vitality and joy of living, the Wine Marathon was created to embrace this type of celebration in a passionate way, where the spectacle of the world of wine, tourism, culture, gastronomy, and sport come together in a grand festival.
This event attracts high-performance marathon runners, amateur athletes, representatives from gyms, clubs, associations, groups of friends and families seeking harmony and perfect health, thus creating a great integration where the stage for this event is set among valleys, vineyards, wineries, Vino Stop points , beautiful rural landscapes and the pleasant aroma of grapes.
In Formula 1, the refueling area is at the Pit Stops , while in the Wine Marathon, the refueling area is at the Vino Stops . It is at this moment that the athletes exchange the relay baton and take the opportunity to recharge their energy with products produced in this region, listening to music and watching typical dances of the region, a mixture of expectation, relaxation and concentration.
