The city of La Paz, with its slogan " city in motion ," has a very unique topography: built in a valley, it has very few flat streets, and almost all of them are important. The route follows the slopes of this valley. It's 42.2 km long, traversing rugged terrain, and the route minimizes disruption to vehicular traffic. The course connects the eastern and western slopes, crosses the Choqueyapu and Orkojahuira rivers, and winds through the upper and lower neighborhoods along the least congested and flattest avenues and streets possible. To reach the starting line and finish line, you can use the existing mass transit systems such as the cable cars and the Puma Katari buses. I invite you to run the 13th La Paz Marathon on a route whose spectacular views more than compensate for the effort.
