Located at the picturesque Mallory Park in Leicestershire, this event offers a unique blend of open-water swimming and cycling on a pristine tarmac circuit. Starting May 6th, these weekly gatherings provide an ideal setting for athletes to hone their skills or enjoy relaxed evenings under the summer sky. The venue is strictly dog-free beyond the green entry gates, ensuring everyone’s safety and enjoyment. ### Open Water Swimming The centerpiece of Mallory Park's lake offers a serene environment for swimmers of all levels. Fully marked with various lap options, it caters to both competitive and casual participants. Challenge yourself by timing your laps or focus on improving sighting skills in group settings. For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, new this year is the option to swim around the backside of the island when conditions permit. Suitable for swimmers confident with 100 meters, each session includes dedicated water safety staff to ensure everyone’s comfort and security. ### Cycling & Running The smooth tarmac circuit provides an excellent setting for cyclists and runners. Whether you're dialing in your bike position or practicing group riding techniques, the track offers ample space free from traffic interference. Runners can also take advantage of structured sessions, intervals, or threshold efforts on this pristine surface. Transition racking is available to help athletes practice their transition skills like a pro during triathlon training. ### Session Details Training evenings are held every Monday and Wednesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Pre-booked tickets cost £8.50, while same-day entry costs £9.50 (children's pricing available). Monthly passes for regular attendees offer a discounted rate. Coaches can attend free of charge and are encouraged to bring kayaks or SUPs for on-water coaching sessions, ensuring they maintain distance from the main swimming line during training activities. ### Junior & Family Sessions For younger participants under 16 years old, adult supervision is mandatory. A paying adult can bring an additional child aged 12 or below at no extra cost; however, any further children will require a ticket purchase. Please be aware that fast-moving cyclists may share the track during these sessions. Mallory Park’s automated gate system closes access to the main entrance after 6:30pm.
