Machete Trail Madness 100k

Machete Trail Madness, an ultramarathon that has been pushing the boundaries of endurance since 2014, invites runners to tackle some of the toughest terrain in the United States. This April 24th edition offers distances ranging from a challenging 10k to the grueling 50k and 100k courses, all set against the backdrop of stunning mountain vistas around Lake Machete.
The race is known for its technical trails with steep climbs that test both body and mind. The 50K course features three laps of a 10-mile loop with over 2,300 feet of elevation gain per lap, while the 100k route comprises six loops around a 20-mile circuit, accumulating nearly 4,400 feet in vertical ascent each time. Runners will encounter aid stations equipped to support them through long hours on the trail.
What sets Machete Trail Madness apart is its vibrant community spirit. Volunteers stay up all night to cheer and guide runners towards their goals. The event emphasizes perseverance and camaraderie, offering a unique interactive experience where participants can encourage each other throughout multiple laps around the lake.
