Lace up your running shoes, grab a friend, and hit the trails with us for a good cause! The Alaska Nurses Association is thrilled to host our 10th Annual LOVE A NURSE 5K. Choose to join us in-person at Goose Lake Park or register for our virtual 5K!
In-Person Event Info
Join us at Goose Lake Park at 10 AM on Saturday, May 9th for a run through Anchorages' lovely, wooded trails! The Love a Nurse 5K is kid & dog friendly, open to the entire community and perfect for competitive runners and casual walkers alike.
As part of the festivities, we’ll have a Zumba warm-up, yoga cool-down, yummy snacks, and more! We'll also be raising money for the Foundation for Alaska Nurses. Be sure to invite your family and friends (you can even sign up as a team!)
All participants will receive the official 2026 Love a Nurse 5K t-shirt, available in youth and unisex sizing. Register before April 11th to guarantee availability of your preferred shirt size!
Packet Pickup Times & Locations:
Friday, May 8th - 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the AaNA Office (3701 E Tudor Road Suite #208)
Saturday, May 10th Race Day Pickup- 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Goose Lake Park.
All in-person participants must come to one of the packet pickup sessions. Your packet includes your race bib and t-shirt.

Virtual Event Info
Virtual 5K – Can’t make it to Goose Lake? Have no fear, our virtual option is still here!
The virtual Love a Nurse 5K will take place from May 1st to May 31st, 2026.
A virtual race is one you complete anytime and anywhere (treadmill, track, trail) by running and /or walking at a time of your choosing. You get to choose your course as well as when you run or walk your VIRTUAL 5K.
Virtual participants are also welcome to come to a packet pickup session. Just select in-person pickup during registration. If you do not come to a packet pickup, we will ship your t-shirt for a $8 shipping fee after the event.
Submitting Virtual Results
Once you have finished your virtual 5K, you will be able to submit your results online! You can post results until May 31st at 11:59 PM.
