About the Event

The Louisville Pure Tap® 5K, presented by the Louisville Water Company, begins and ends at the home of Louisville’s award-winning drinking water: Louisville Water Tower Park (3005 River Road). This family-friendly race follows a scenic course running east and west along River Road.

The race will start at 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 29, 2026. It will be professionally chip-timed, and all participants will receive a commemorative Louisville Pure Tap® 5K short-sleeved race shirt and a custom finisher medal.

Once again this year, participants are invited to bring their dogs along for the run. There is an additional $10 fee to register dogs, available as a race add-on, with proceeds benefiting Friends of Louisville Metro Animal Services. Registered dogs will receive a special bandana to recognize their participation.

After the race, join us for the after-pawty from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. at Club K9 Dog Park Bar (9316 Taylorsville Road). Dogs wearing race swag get their owners in free. All dogs must be spayed or neutered and provide proof of rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccinations.
