Loop de Ville Fest invites runners and nature enthusiasts to explore the scenic Rivanna Trail through guided hikes, runs, and bike rides that wind around the city. Whether you're up for an entire 20-mile loop or prefer a more leisurely half-loop option, there’s something here for every fitness level. Each event is led by knowledgeable guides who provide support throughout your journey along this picturesque trail network. Cyclists are encouraged to choose from various pace groups that cater to different skill levels and ensure everyone stays safe and comfortable during the ride. Along the route, you’ll encounter multiple Cheer Zones where volunteers will cheer you on with water, electrolytes, snacks, and sometimes even special treats like pancakes at Fontaine’s station. These zones offer a chance for rest and refueling as well as some friendly encouragement to keep your spirits high throughout the day. Upon completing your chosen distance, head back to Rivanna River Co., where a DJ will be spinning tunes all afternoon long. Finishers can look forward to enjoying cold beverages and food from local vendors while mingling with friends and family in an energetic atmosphere that continues until about 8pm. The festival is open to spectators as well, making it easy for everyone to join the celebration. For more detailed information on each event or to get involved by volunteering, visit Loop de Ville Fest’s official website at https://loopdeville.org. Join us for a day filled with camaraderie and breathtaking views along the Rivanna Trail.
