Join the vibrant community of runners, walkers, and supporters for the 9th Annual Look Good Feel Good Race! This year’s virtual edition invites participants from across the United States to come together virtually while supporting an incredible cause: providing education and housing opportunities for underprivileged youth in the San Francisco Bay Area. The race offers a variety of distances including the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon. Each route winds through scenic trails along the picturesque San Leandro shoreline, offering stunning views of the bay and its marina. The terrain begins on flat ground before transitioning to challenging trails with varying elevations—71 feet for the 5K, 96 feet for the 10K, and a noteworthy 204 feet for the Half Marathon. Water stations are strategically placed along each route at key intervals such as one mile into the race, just prior to the turnaround point of the 10K, halfway through both the 10K and half marathon routes, and again at the turnarounds. Complimentary portable restrooms are available near the start/finish line and aid stations for convenience. The full marathon route is an out-and-back course that doubles back on itself to complete two Half Marathon segments totaling a challenging yet rewarding distance of 26.2 miles. Participants will receive special bracelets at each half-marathon turnaround, serving as checkpoints along their journey towards the finish line. The official cutoff time for completing both halves and reaching the final stretch is set at six hours; however, runners are encouraged to pace themselves according to their comfort level. All participants can look forward to receiving a commemorative medal upon completion of any distance, while top three male and female winners in each category will also be awarded prizes. The race itself is timed and certified by USATF, ensuring accuracy and credibility for all competitors aiming to set personal bests or qualify for prestigious races like the New York Marathon. Beyond the physical challenge, this event serves a meaningful purpose—raising funds and awareness for San Francisco Bay Area youth aged 16-24 who face significant barriers in accessing education, housing stability, nutrition, healthcare services including nursing care. By participating, you contribute directly to empowering these young adults with essential life skills through workforce training programs aimed at helping them achieve their full potential. Registration is now open for the upcoming event scheduled on October 2nd, 2027, where packet pickup will take place a couple days prior in Berkeley, CA. On race day itself, participants can gather early to check-in and prepare before embarking on their chosen distance at 8:00 AM sharp.
