London Running Festival December 2026

Embrace the festive spirit of London with the London Running Festival, set for Sunday, December 6th, 2026 at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. This annual celebration offers runners an opportunity to explore one of the city's most iconic sporting venues through a series of scenic routes.
The festival features three distinct distances: a free RunThrough Foundation 5K, which is expected to attract high demand and will be allocated via ballot; as well as paid entries for both a 10K and Half Marathon. The event village, situated at Hopkins Meadow in North Park, transforms into a vibrant hub of activity on race day, complete with festive decorations and lively atmosphere.
The routes wind through some of the park's most recognizable landmarks such as the VeloPark, Copper Box Arena, Aquatics Centre, London Stadium, London Community Track, South Park, and North Park. With fully road-closed sections ensuring a safe environment for all participants, runners can focus on their performance while enjoying stunning views.
The 5K ballot process prioritizes accessibility by reserving spots specifically for first-time runners and those from lower-income areas, aligning with the RunThrough Foundation's mission to democratize participation in running events. The ballot entries are divided into three waves: August 30th, October 25th, and November 22nd, each followed by an announcement period.
Don't miss this chance to cap off your year of training and racing within one of London’s premier locations. Secure your place now for a memorable race day experience brimming with festive cheer and breathtaking scenery.
