The Lions Tour Holstebro is set to take place on Tuesday, August 25th, at 6:00 PM local time. This cycling race offers something for everyone with five different distances ranging from a family-friendly 5 kilometers to the challenging full marathon distance of 61 kilometers. Participants will gather and start their journey from Mejrup School in Holstebro. The event is designed to showcase the natural beauty surrounding Holstebro, offering cyclists scenic routes through picturesque landscapes. Registration for both individual participants and teams can be completed online until Monday, August 24th at 7:00 PM on www.holstebro.lions.dk or physically from 5:00 PM on race day. The registration fees vary by age group; children up to the year of birth 2016 pay a discounted fee while adults face higher charges. Upon completion, all participants will be treated with refreshments such as fruit, juice, coffee, tea and cake at the finish line. Timing is provided using electronic chips which can be picked up from Mejrup School before the event starts. The race routes are clearly marked with colored signs: yellow for 5 km, blue throughout most of the longer distances, green directing cyclists to Hvam on the 16 km route, and additional loops indicated by directional changes along the extended courses. Cyclists should be mindful of following these signs carefully as they navigate through Holstebro's varied terrain. Parking is available near Mejrup Church and Mejrup Hall for those traveling with vehicles; however, cars are not allowed on school grounds during race day activities. Bicycles can also receive service along the route courtesy of Bike&CO Olympia Cykler. In addition to a rewarding experience cycling through Holstebro's charming countryside, participants have an opportunity to win prizes from sponsors like CeramicSpeed and Pure Attitude via lottery draws after crossing the finish line. The event is organized by Lions Clubs in Holstebro with all proceeds going towards humanitarian causes.
