About the Event

So What Is the Lions Roar for Fitness 5k/2.5K Challenge?

5K Challenge — Starts promptly at 9:00 a.m. at Lake Minnequa (near CIMS), but please arrive by 8:15 a.m. There will be a shot gun start. Medals will be awarded to all age group winners after the race.

2.5K Challenge – Starts promptly at 9:10 a.m. at Lake Minnequa (near CIMS). Medals will be awarded to winners of the 6 and under, 7-8, and 9-10 age groups.

Kiddie Sprint – 50 yard sprint for ages 5 and under starts at 10 a.m. This will consist of a 50 yard dash for any child 5 yrs of age and under. This is a fun free event.

5K/2.5K Age Divisions — (M/F) 6 and Under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+

Awards—On race day at 10:30 a.m. & at FIMS during the assembly.

Medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers in the 5K race in each age division.

Prizes will be awarded for the top overall finishers in the 5K for male and female. Medals will only be awarded to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers in the 2.5K race in the 6 and under, 7-8, and 9-10 age divisions.

Important Dates:

- Registration: Through September 24th: $30 (Guarantee a t-shirt before race)

- Late Registration: September 25th - October 6th: $35 (T-shirt not guaranteed for race day)

- Day of Race Registration: Online registration will close on end of day Tuesday, October 6th. Registration at race site on October 10th before 8:30am: $40
