About the Event
The Lincolnshire Cyclo-Cross Association kicks off its 2026/27 season with Round 1 on November 15, welcoming riders from around the globe. Whether you're an experienced cyclist or looking to dip your toes into cyclocross for the first time, this event offers a variety of categories and opportunities. To participate in any race, all competitors must register as members of the Lincolnshire Cyclo-Cross Association through RiderHQ. The membership process is straightforward and open to riders from anywhere in the world. Entry for all races will be available six weeks before the event date. For those new to cyclocross or feeling hesitant about competing, the Novice Race is designed specifically for you. This category welcomes anyone aged 12 years and older with no prior race experience in cyclo-cross. Participants can use any off-road bike—cyclocross, gravel, mountain—but balance bikes and unicycles are not permitted. The novice race takes place at 10:17 AM and lasts for 30 minutes. Adults and kids will compete together, with the younger age groups starting two minutes behind to ensure a fairer competition environment. This event is all about having fun and learning from experienced officials who provide support and feedback throughout the race. The day also features races in various categories such as Youth U14/U16 at 10:15 AM (30 mins), U9 at 11:00 AM (10-12 mins), U12 at 11:20 AM (12-15 mins), and the OPEN Juniors, Seniors & Masters races at 12:30 PM for both genders. The OPEN race is a significant event lasting 50 minutes. Riders who enjoy their novice experience can enter up to five novice events before transitioning into more competitive categories if they choose to do so. This introductory format ensures that newcomers have the support and encouragement needed as they explore this exciting cycling discipline. Join us on November 15 for an engaging day of racing, learning, and community in Lincolnshire's scenic landscapes.
