Round 4 of the Lincolnshire Cyclo-Cross Association 2026/27 Season invites cyclists from around the globe to experience the thrill and challenge of cyclocross on October 11, 2026. Whether you're a seasoned veteran or just starting out, this event offers something for every level of rider. Entry into the race is straightforward; all participants must be registered with the Lincs CX Association through RiderHQ to secure their spot. Membership requirements are flexible and open to anyone regardless of location, making it easy for both local riders and those traveling from afar to participate in the action-packed day at this picturesque venue near Lincoln. The event features a variety of categories tailored to different age groups and skill levels: - Youth Races: The morning kicks off with races designed specifically for young cyclists. Youth U14/U16 will compete in 30-minute events, followed by a Novice race open to all riders aged 12 and above who have little or no experience racing cyclocross. This category allows participants of various ages to start together but ensures that the faster youth racers begin two minutes ahead. - Junior & Senior Races: As the day progresses, more experienced riders take center stage with an Open Juniors/Senior/Masters race scheduled for 12:30 PM and a Female Juniors/Senior/Masters event immediately after. These races are intense, lasting 50 minutes each, and showcase the skill and endurance required in cyclocross. The Novice category is particularly welcoming to newcomers who might be hesitant about their abilities or unfamiliar with the sport's rules and equipment requirements. This race offers a supportive environment where riders can use any off-road bike (cyclo-cross, gravel, mountain) except for balance bikes or unicycles. Officials provide guidance and feedback throughout the event, helping beginners learn valuable skills while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts. With its mix of challenging terrain, scenic routes near Lincolnshire’s rolling hills, and a friendly atmosphere that caters to all levels of riders, this round promises an unforgettable day for participants and spectators alike. Whether you're competing or cheering from the sidelines, it's sure to be an exciting event not to miss in October 2026. Registration opens six weeks before the race date, ensuring plenty of time to prepare and join what is shaping up to be a memorable addition to the cycling calendar.
